Trentham and Hanford - attempted burglary Hinckley Grove, Neighbourhood Watch update, Cold Callers and upcoming events and Police Street Surgeries. |

I hope you all are having a good weekend.
Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the list of locations I have patrolled from 16/04/26 – 18/04/26. I have also listed the locations, dates and times of upcoming Police Street Surgeries.
Suspected attempted burglary – Hinckley Grove.
We have received a report that a male has tried the front door handle of an address in Hinckley Grove. The suspect has also been on the driveways of two other properties in the street and is suspected to of possibly done the same. No access to the properties was made and nothing is believed to of been damaged or taken at this time. The incident occurred at approximately 03:41am on 19/04/2026.
There have also been two further incidents, a burglary and an attempt burglary in the Barlaston area, that we are currently investigating and trying to establish if the incidents are linked. One incident, which occurred on Lakewood Dr at approximately 01:15am on 19/04/26, whereby two males approached a property, trying the front door handle in a suspected attempt to gain entry. The other incident occurred on Flaxman Close between approximately 23:30 hours on 18/04/26 and 02:30 hours on 19/04/26. Suspects gained entry to a property, removed the keys to a white VW Tiguan and stole the vehicle. The vehicle was located by officers, which following a pursuit was abandoned by the suspects. The vehicle was recovered and enquiries, including forensic examinations, are now taking place to identify those involved. Neighbourhood Watch update
Over the last few days I have delivered approximately 170 Neighbourhood Watch Welcome Packs to addresses within the new Neighbourhood Watch zone that was recently launched on the Meadow Lane estate.
I will be placing the Neighbourhood Watch signs on lampposts within this zone in the very near future.

Cold Callers – Clermont Ave
On 16/04/26 I was on patrol on Clermont Ave when I came across 3 males with leaflets. They stated that they were delivery leaflets but swiftly left the area when I pointed out that the area was within a No Cold Calling Zone. If anyone did receive a knock at the door by any cold callers within this area on 16/04/26, if you could please reply to this message and I will be in touch, thank you.
Upcoming events – Coffee morning.
The Trentham Central Residents Association have organised a number of coffee mornings, which will be taking place at the Trentham Community Library, Allerton Rd. The 1st Coffee morning will be on 16th May 10am – 13:00
